In my experience it came to my attention that most agencies I work with, do not screen their caregivers regarding their mental status and physical health. It is of the upmost importance, that YOU as the client do not end up having a caregiver taking care of your loved ones, that is mentally ill, not stable, or cannot perform the task at hand. Make sure that they have health insurance, get annual physicals and are mentally aware of the work requirements.
